Hoe kan ik een cd of dvd laten persen?

For you, producing a CD or DVD is probably not a daily job. Luckily for us at Datamax it is. Thanks to our long term experience, we understand better than anyone how important this production is for you. We always go for the very best result. We are happy to explain how everything works and what we need from you to process your production.

Simply place your order via email

We are happy to receive your order by e-mail. This can be a simple email stating the number of copies you want to receive and the title of the album. We also need the following information:

  • Billing address;
  • Delivery address;
  • Phone number;
  • Chamber of Commerce number (if available);
  • VAT number (if available).

Have you requested a quote on our website? Then send it along with your order.

Choose your finish for a digistyle packaging.

If your production is packaged in a digistyle packaging (such as a digipack, digisleeve or digifile), we would like to know the desired finish. You can choose from 2 standard finishes: matt dispersion lacquer or glossy dispersion lacquer. Do you want a different finish? Feel free to contact us about the possibilities. There are many options, such as a matte or glossy UV lacquer finish, spot UV, metal foil, etc.

As soon as we have received the above information, we will send a proforma invoice. After receipt of payment, the order will be processed. It is possible to start the order already if you do not have a master and/or artwork available yet. This may gain you some time.

Master and artwork

We would like to receive the artwork in PDF format and the master as a DDP image. You can provide this to us by using an upload service such as WeTransfer. Send the WeTransfer link to sales@datamaxbenelux.nl

We check the master and the artwork for technical correctness. If something is not right, we will let you know by e-mail. It is possible to receive digital proofs of the artwork by e-mail for approval. We will then wait for your final approval before printing the artwork. Let us know when placing the order if you want to use this service. There are no additional charges for this.

Licensing

Finally, we need permission from a copyright organisation such as MCPS or GEMA for the production of your CDs. You can apply for a license for the production of your album at these organisations. Without this license we are not allowed to take the album into production. More information about applying for a copyright license can be found on the websites of these agencies.

Daily status report

During the production process you will receive a daily status report from us by e-mail, in which you can track the status of your order(s). Initially, this report will contain a fictitious shipping date. The actual delivery date will be determined once the master and artwork have been approved by us.
